My Story
I’m from Dallas, Texas, and grew up in Concord Church praise dancing and singing since I was 4 years old. I grew up knowing every line to Hannah Montana, was told I was dramatic sometimes, so auditioned for theatre at a fine arts program in fifth grade, and has been doing the thing ever since.
Theatre itself is art curation for me, and therefore I can’t just have one side of it- I must create, write, direct, design, as well as story-tell. The artist I’m becoming is simply making work that represents us, and also fuels what my soul and what it needs in that moment.
You can’t pour all your tea in every other pot and not have enough for yourself.
My Why
My work stems from my culture and upbringing. I’m intrigued by stories that elevate my self view as a black woman, and reveals the colors I rarely see. If I don’t see it, I’ll make space for it, because there should be room for all of us.

My Artistry
Necessity begets invention- so as an artist, there was always a need to learn from the world around me. “Realism” was taught by was Viola Davis, dance was Debbie Allen, and modeling was Tyra, to name a few. I’ve grown to own my greenness and worldly lessons because it is my work. It’s my experience, and it all matters.
